Speaking on the occasion, Kovind said the government was determined to strengthen healthcare system in the state. He, however, advised people not to depend on government help only.
The governor said non-government organisations should organise such camps in remote villages at regular intervals. He advised people to become health conscious. The governor asked the district administration to cooperate with NGOs and social workers who organise such health camps for the benefit of people. However, many poor patients who had come to the camp from remote places were allegedly detained at the gate and returned home without treatment.
